Issues I'll Fight For

Homelessness is a huge problem in Victoria. Right now, over 25,000 people across the state are experiencing homelessness, and over 70,000 are on the public housing waitlist. We cannot let this continue. I will push to boost public housing so that at least 10% of all housing across our LGAs is public—ensuring more people have access to stable, affordable homes without losing connection to their support networks.

We need action,
not empty promises.
I’m committed to real solutions
that put people first.

Renting shouldn’t be a gamble. The power balance between renters and landlords does not reflect the dignity and equality of the progressive state we want to be. I’m proposing a Homeworthy Certificate, obtained by the property owner prior to listing for lease—either at every second gas safety check or whenever a property is listed for rent, whichever comes first. This will ensure rental properties are safe and up to standard, shifting the burden away from tenants, who often fear retaliation for speaking up.

A home for everyone

Fixing the broken rental system

Keeping Church & State Separate

Public policy must serve all Victorians, free from religious influence. Decisions about healthcare, education, and human rights should be based on fairness and evidence, not ideology. It’s time to maintain a clear separation between state and church, ensuring all policies reflect the diverse, secular society we live in.

Democracy should be transparent and accountable. Abolishing Group Voting Tickets (GVTs) will restore trust in our electoral process by ensuring that every voter’s preference is counted clearly and directly, without secretive backroom deals deciding election outcomes.

Every child deserves equal opportunities. Public schools must be fully funded and private schools receiving taxpayer money must not discriminate based on beliefs, culture or identity.

Fixing Our Voting System

#climaterescue

With the increase in back to back climate emergencies due to lack of action from our governments. We see greater strain on our healthcare and rescue services. Paid and volunteer. We must protect the rescuers by investing in climate rescue and environmental disaster response.  I will advocate for increased investment in climate resilience measures and emergency response infrastructure
