Standing Together for Public Housing - 24 Oct 2025

It is my firm belief that public housing IS healthcare.

Public housing is NOT a last resort for the vulnerable.

Public housing is a foundation of any strong economy who supports their essential workers.

The judgement and stigma cultivated by those in power is a deliberate erosion of government responsibility.

Margaret has been advocating for herself and others after being removed from her home in Barak Beacon so that gentrification and profit can replace community support and strength.

Developer and investor voices should not be the only ones at the table. These are peoples homes, and their lives we are demolishing.

The Vic State government only brought those directly affected by this into the conversation AFTER community made noise, AFTER decisions were made.

They are wasting money at the expense of lives, the environment and the community.
